Unable to open any drive

Hello,
im unable to open any drive by double clicking or right click and open. its asking select program with which you want to open c:. if i browsw and choose explorer.exe. im able to open. but the option of always using the program is disbled. previously had same problem with one pendrive. (probably infected). mcafee, avast, ccleaner NO avail. system restore unable to restore to any point. pls help. t5hnx.

my config
acer aspire one
intel atom, 120 GB/1GB/ xp sp3 home

Configuration: Windows XP
Opera 9.62

Hi you can try

combofix
smitrem
hijackthis
malwarebytes

these 3 proggies like to be run in safe mode and should fix the issue (if it is spyware or malware) Most likly the cause
