Hello,
I accidentally deleted the WMP 11 (Windows Media Player 11) folder from C:\Program Files off of my Vista PC. Is there a LEGAL way for me to get Windows Media Player 11 back?

I have the same problem will try and do a sfc /scanow from command prompt in safe mode will let you know the results.

WMP 11 for VISTA does not have a standalone installer.
Anyone who says it does clearly does not understand that the XP installer will not run on Vista.
Or is not using Vista or hasn't tried it for themselves...

I fixed mine by copying the files from another vista installation
Copy %program files%\windows media player or %program files(x86)%\windows media player if you run x64
Also copied and replaced. %windir%\system32\wmploc.dll
I know this will be utterly useless if you don't have 2 pc's.
but you could always install vista on a Virtual PC to get the files.
Get Microsoft Virtual PC to achieve this it is a free app.
