Windows XP - Hirens Boot CD

Hello,
my windows xp has fucked up and keeps restarting, so i got advice on here to make a hirens boot cd, ive done that, but not sure if ive done it properly, when it gets to a screen it says:

"Boot from CD:
1. HD System Type - (OF)
Missing operating system_"

if anyone knows what to do itd be very much appreciated

Hirern boot cd is using only for Restoreing Images backup. so u open ur system remove all HDD cables &reconnect it try its not possible go for repair option using windows xp cd.,

Ok il try taking the hard drive cables out, that mite work you said?
and something about windows xp cd? repair option?

Ok so my computer actualy works now, but i cant seem to get all my files back, i wouldnt really care about my music files or my school work but its pictures an all im worried about, anyone kno what to do?

All you need to do is boot from your windows disk - you may need to select the drive in the bios (usually F8) then select the drive where your windows disk is. From there Windows Setup will start - then just follow the instructions.

I think you need 2 have live xp cd (which is a bootable disc with xp installed in it)
now using that cd boot and start xp and you can take backup of files,softs into other drive
now restart system
and normally install windows xp..
