Boot disk error

Hello,when I turn on my laptop windows millenuim edition it says there boot disk error scanreg/type restore what should I do because it does'nt open at all.

Try a norton system works cd-disk like 2002 it has a boot from cd and repair if posible the boot burn out of the old me systems that why i went to xp ntfs format it much better less crashing gatorer ps when i had me it crashed monthly
