Computer wont boot

Hello,

When I swicth my computer on, the keyboard just flicks(flashes) and the screen does not light. Can u pls tell me what the problem is and how I can solve it? I checked if it cud be the processor but not, now I really dont know what it is. Motherboard maybe?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

You havent get into details of your problem though..

but can i just ask you when does this problem begin?

can you see any light on your monitor as you power up your computer?

if there is you might try do boot to safe mode.

if there's no light, you might try to check the cable.
