PC not booting properly, bios not coming up

Hello,
my pc is not booting, the bios does not even come up, i get a post beep but nothing on the screen!!... this has been happening for quiet a while, i try switch it on and nothing comes up then i leave it for a while and try to switch it on agian and it works. this happened mostly when i restart the computer but this time is not switching on.

do u think its the motherboard?.. ive had this system for 2 years and never had problems

asus mb, core 2 duo, 1.5gb ram, sata HDD, 7600 gpu

How can i reformat if the bios does not even boot up, the screen just stays black.

Hi .......bios nt displaying
check ur cmos battery bcos the cmos battery is the 1 that stand as back upfor bios setup if battery bad no bios
change ur battery

Try to check the RAM if dust is no the memory bank.
if so,clean the bank(slot) and the memory itself(RAM)
