Hello,

I need to resize C: drive of a Windows Server 2003. Does anyone know some free partition software for Server?

I do not want to pay about $100 for easeus partition manage server edition to only use it once.

SO any free? Many thanx!

The server edition of Partition wizard is not free yet. I prefer easeus partition master server edition, which seems more professional in the partitioning field and is more reliable. After all, the safety of the server is more important.

I agree with cesta, the safety is most important for a server. I just found that partitionwizard is only 5MB, but others are larger than 30MB, I don't believe this one. There is no free Server partition manager SW, but I think easeus is the most cost-effective. I don't know whether you guys found that 4.0 version added a new feature that enlarge the partitions without reboot, very helpful for server avoiding downtime, i like it. more about this, check

Requirements for picking up a Server Partition Software.

No damage to the server(ie no data loss);
Raid supported.;
Resize c drive without rebooting.
Efficient service and support.
Being a good server partition software, the above requirements are the basic terms. Server computers are more and more frequently used in company because they are most important for the security and secrecy. Network administrators need to take good care of these Server computers. That's why the software installed on Server computers are strictly chosen by administrator, especially the computer utilities, which are able to maximize the performance of the Servers, like server partition management software.

As to the above requirement, I would prefer Acronis Disk Director Server. Here is a live tutorial to use Acronis Disk Director to extend boot partition http://www.geeksdo.com/extend-server-c-drive.html

However many guys would think it is too expensive and not in the budget. Then there is an article introducing some free tips to resize server partition without pay http://www.geeksdo.com/free-partition-software-server.html
