How to set computer to factory settings [Solved]

Hello,
how do you set your computer back to factory settings like it was on the first day you got the computer....i dont mind if i lose everything on the computer as it is backed up

hey my laptop is a dell inspiron 6400 and everytime a press F8 to restore to factory settings my laptop crashes has anyone got any ideas y this happens and how to overcome it

My computer is an Acer Aspire 5515. Can you tell me how to get the Windows password or set it so their is no password? Its my young childs and he forgot the password.

Hi, My computer is a gateway desktop gt4024 model and I would lie to know how I can get this back to factory settings without loosing windows. All my files, downloads adn everything can be deleted I just want to keep windows. So when i start up my computer it would like me to make a new account.

Dell restore is stored in a hidden partition on the hard drive. using F8 during the boot should get you a screen with an option to reset the computer.

Read the full list and select the option that that most sounds like a "factory restore"

hey ...i got a huge problem with my laptop its a toshiba satellite Model # PSAFGC-FS108C... i was reformating it with windows vista premium and i lost my interent connection, it says that there are some drives missing and i dont know where to search to find them, some people told me to restore it to the way i had it before and i dont know how...could you please help im in college and i have to stay there to do my homework...i appreciate it thanks.

I have tried this and when you get to the section to "repair your computer" and press enter my computer starts up again

restart computer while dell splash screen is up hold down the control key while tapping the f11 key then pick restore

I havea Hp Pavillion a140n that came with windows xp installed on it but i changed it to windows vista...any ideas on how to format the computer back to factory settings
