I can't download the newer version of msn mes

Hello,
i have a problem with my msn messenger i'm useing the old version of msn messeger becouse i can't install the newer version when i tired to install automaticily see "your computer has a newer version of windows live messenger than the one you are trying to install.To install an older version, first remove the current version and then run thiss set up again." But i remove the msn messenger from my pc i removed it totally and i tryed to install the newer version not an older one.So please help me about this problem couse i do not know what to do.:(

Configuration: Windows XP

Deinstall the new one, install all updates, for example SP3 and run the installation of windows or just find an offline installation of the new windows live messenger

I don't have any msn messenger to uninstall i cleaned all of them and the oldest one too .i just have one set up of a newer version of msn 9.0 so when i tried to install i just see that msg:"your computer has a newer version of windows live messenger than the one you are trying to install.To install an older version, first remove the current version and then run this set up again" ... but i haven't got any msn messenger on my PC i don't know how to uninstall that one which doesn't exist.i can't understand this couse.
So i suspect that it could be any virus.

Try to download zapmessenger at http://messenger.jonathankay.com/redir/zapmsngr.asp and then download any version of WLM you want, normally it will work

Thankx its really work MSN lounch new Bullshit messenger and when it intall its not work also stop to all browsings.i had intall this latest messenger but it was doing prob to install old verstion but ur solution is very best and its worked thanx i realy apreciat u.

Don't install the new version, it's rubbish. Once it's there you can't get rid. I now can't use my webcam to talk to my sisters, one in Corfu and the other in Spain.

I can't even access the windows live site. If I click anything other then email it just goes white and gives this link

Same here !

When the messege "There's a new version available" first appeared I tried to install it,
but it only says that as long as my pc's not connected to the internet, windows live stuff can't be installed
though i was connected to the internet.
now every friggin' single time I try to open ANYTHING having g.live or microsoft in the link
it says "error" oO what the heck?
i want the new version -.-

pleeeease help me :/

Argh, I'm not sure if I'm having the same problemos as everyone else here, but I had the plus version of msn. I could get colours, sounds etc, it was awesome... But now all that comes up is this super old msn, and whenever I try to install plus again, it says it's worked but nothing changes.
Oh, and I've clicked the link in one of the posts above for ZapMessanger, but it's been saying that it's loading for hours now so I've given up on that.
