| 2 Bob, on Dec 26, 2008 4:55:40 pm GMTOk, so mine are doing that too. For some reison they will start and stop when a new song changes on my windows media player. I think that mabey the wire that attaches the laptop to the speekers, may be loose or a defect. I'm looking for they help line # that came with my laptop. I would understand why this would be happening with an older compaq, but, I got mine about 2 weeks ago for an early christmas present. Once I contact them, Ill let you know why this is happening after I plug head phones in.

p.s good luck Reply to bubbles solutions | 5 dfrankfurter, on Jan 11, 2009 6:47:52 am GMTI have the same problem - caused by an upgrade from XP SP2 to SP3. It is recognised in a couple of forums, but I have not found a single answer that is both intelligble to the novice and works. Undortunately - this suggested solution only answered one of the needs - it was intelligible ... but didn't work. The internal speakers on my computer don't work - although external ones do. Reply to dfrankfurter | 6 dfrankfurter, on Jan 11, 2009 9:37:30 am GMTSince this post, I found the solution - which with modification will probably help others.
On my Lenovo computer I
1. Updated the BIOS using downlaods from the Lenovo site
2. Reinstalled the Realtek Audio driver from the Lenovo site
3. Went into the Realtek driver folder & ran the Realtek AdDrvLdr program
4. Rebooted .. and ..
5. voila! all was fixed Reply to dfrankfurter | 7 trouble, on Jan 12, 2009 10:39:22 pm GMT Reply to trouble | 8 poor boy wif bad speakers, on Jan 17, 2009 7:02:49 am GMTNow, my speakers are able to work. but the quality tat comes out are like some ghost sound.. and not the proper and correct sound it should be liked.. so, if anyone hav a solutions, pls msg me at +6598946770. thz, if u feel tat it is too troublesome, den post it on this forum and target it at me. thx lots Reply to poor boy wif bad speakers |

When you say you don't have windows audio - do you mean in the control panel? If so, try switching to classic view. Reply to dfrankfurter |

| 15 desperate, on Jan 27, 2009 4:47:51 am GMTSo when I go to my control panel I don't have administartive tools, I have sound speech and audio devices, and when I get to the sound and audio panel it won't let me click on anything its shaded. My speakers don't work and cant even use my USB to connect to my camera anymore to download anything. I can't talk on skype and its not recognizing any devices??
Can you help? Reply to desperate | Sounds like you should back up your computer - especially the data & files - and then re-install winddows & all the updates & then all your programs one at a time Reply to dfrankfurter | 53 rr, on Oct 27, 2009 10:49:51 pm GMTI had this same problem this person had. your suggestion was to back up the computer-especially the data & files - and then re-install winddows & all the updates & then all your programs one at a time. well, how exactly do you do all of that?
