Cant sign in to my msn messenger in my pc

Hello,

i cannot sign in to my msn messenger on my own pc but i can sign in using others pc. when i attempt to sign in on my own pc it always prompt me " windows messenger could not sign you in to the .NET Messenger Service. there was a problem signing in with this account. Before you can sign in, you must fix the problem at the .NET Passport Web Site"

i checked my firewall and everything but i cannot see the problem on my pc.. i even compared the settings of the other pc in which i can sign in my msn account but to no avail. can you help me on this?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Try giving repair yo ur msn and then go to change or unistall programs and try to reinstall ur msn that should fix it

You might not be connected to Net. messenger service, i think you might have to be.

what is happening to me is, you click sign in and it just does that for ever and then a pop up box comes up saying:the reason this is not working might be because you r not conected to the internet or your password is not correct.
But my internet is working and my password is correct because that is the only password i have ever had and i have tried it a thousand times but it does not work.

If you have any ideas please tell me what i might have to d

It is a virus... like me i cant sign in too.
if u cant sign in into Microsoft webside then it is a virus,
i am trying to recover my pc now to work my msn.

The problem with the messenger is that its not alowing to connect beacuse you might have it set to u.s this info is also on there website.

Messenger has not promt that there are virus's on there server but there is, if you do a virus check then it should find it, if there is another problem look for it in system 32 (But only do this if you know what your doing).
