Hello,
my laptop (Acer aspire one mini notebook) is asking a product key. How could I resolve this?I m using windows XP.thanks before

Hi,

Is your installation of windows new? or did this just happen out of the blue? please give more information about how and when it asks for your product key
If it is a new installation of win xp and you are using the service pack 3 cd to install it, windows will require you to enter a product key since it doesn't ask you for a product key during installation.

Its keep happening when start I my windows. I couldn't insert windows cd since acer aspire one didn't have any ROM.

Save xp on an external hard drive then launch installation from there...I have same notebook..,,

When i open microsoft words a screen pops up and says enter your 25-character product key and the one i have it says you have entered the wrong key please check again and i get frustrated so please help quick i have two essays due tomorrow and it needs to be typed

Hi there.. i have the same problem.. i also have my own acer aspire one d250 for 2 weeks now.. an i encountered the same problem..

all i do is just close the popup that keeps opening every time i open microsoft word and i can do everything i want..

but i'll still install a new microsoft office in my netbook as soon as i bought an external dvd rom..

I recently downloaded Explorer 8 but in the rt hand corner of my pc there was a notification from micrsoft that the microsoft that was already installed in my computer has to be activated. I entered the product number and microsoft keeps advising me to retry. Now I can't get to my documents or e-mails or into my computer to work for that matter. I can get into Internet by clickingon on the message that says "click here to register via the internet. This is the only way I can get on my FaceBook.
Here are my product number CMY4M 44344 B8CDT FT6KX GJ7QQ
Pls help me to retrieve my documents.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH.....I WAS GOING CRAZY NOT FINDING MY KEYS. COULD NOT SPEAK TO SOMEONE AT ACER B/C I COULDN'T PUNCH IN MY SERIAL NUMBER (RUBBED OFF). NEVER BUYING ACER AGAIN.
