Sound driver

Hello, For the last 5 day i have been trying to solve 2 big problems. I have a Compaq Presario V2000 lapton I cant find a Sound driver for this particular model and GRRr%^&*(*&$#$%^ Help pls

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hewlett packard is f'n retarded. for years now, they have been posting incorrect drivers for the presario v2000. their sound drives do not work. you would think they would have caught on after all this time

Hello Friends,

The Compaq Presario V2000 laptop will not accept the drivers provided in the HP website. You need to check the exact product tag number which is found below the laptop. It will be like "V2374AP". This is the actual part number or the model of your laptop driver which you need to search.

One of the numbers found below the laptop in V2000 is "V2374AP"

So search "Compaq Presario V2374AP Notebook PC"

That is a negative.. This is the only download that worked with the sound drivers

Hi

whenever I install the sound drivers sp30399, it says installation failed. I have compaq presario V20000 model.
Any help appreciated.

i have compaq presario v2ooo and my pc OS window xp sp2. i have problem to instoll sound, and media controller driver. iam tring last 10 days but not sucess. plz help me and send me proper drivers.

Those response to jpp was asolutely good my my v2000 is now working very fine....just get the serial number under the laptop and search in the hp compaq.com that will gives you ur exact drive... thanks guys gudluck
