Hello,
I am having hp pavillion dv5-1007ax laptop working with windows vista home basic.I want to downgrade vista to windows xp.But there is no drivers for this model in hp's official website.What can I do for downgrade to xp?Please give me any Idea....

Configuration: Windows xp
Internet Explorer 7.0

HP supports Win XP only on some or it's new business class laptops. I would 1st install Win XP using "dual boot" - where you have both Vista and XP on the computer. Google "dual boot" to see how.

Then I would experiment with the drivers from these business class laptops. If you find a set of drivers that works - burn them to a CD and then install XP with a hard drive reformat.

A large problem users have with installing XP on new laptops is with SATA hard drives. Windows XP may not find your hard drive when you try to install it. There is a work-around but it is not for beginning users. again you can Google "Win XP SATA"

I have a hp pavilion dv5 1007ax model laptop pre-loaded with vista and i collected the required drivers for my laptop within the vista and i stored them in a disk.How can i install xp on my laptop as i have all the drivers supporting win xp,but the only problem during the xp installatio is the error message"beginning to dump physical memory,system will shutdown within few minutes.so please help me.
