Hello,
I am trying to install a printer purchased in 1994 to a brand new computer. I used the printer fax installation steps. The Icon for my printer shows up. But it still doesn't print. I turned the computer off and re started it and it still does not print. I have the original setup disk put no disk drive. My printer manufacturer says the the computer should recognize the printer automatically. I followed the step they suggested but it still did not work. What else can I do? If I can make a CD copy of my disk will it work?

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.3

Assuming you have access to the internet, and as you don't state what the make and model of your printer is, visit their website and look up your printer to download the drivers or to search for FAQ relating to that model! Did you say you have "NO DISK DRIVE"!!
