| 1 wifipen, on Oct 26, 2008 8:01:17 am GMTThis is typical of an infection by a virus and i would recommend that you get a software called malwarebytes or else a software called superantispyware. just download the software as its free and after that just run a full system scan with it on your pc. it should heal the infection and remove the virus. Open REGEDIT file
Find "MOUNTPOINTS2" using Ctrl + F
Delete the same
Repeat the process unless all the "MOUNTPOINTS2" are deleted
Now your system will be OK. (reveied these inputs from thsi forum only)=Thanks to the member Reply to piiintu | 3 kushal, on Dec 13, 2008 9:45:21 am GMTThanks a lot.....it worked...

| 33 grendelbrood, on Apr 13, 2009 12:59:28 am BSTHi i got a problem.. I have a DELL vostro 1000 and the problem is that a few days ago it started freezing and behalving weird.. I heard the hard disk making noise for some time before that and thought it was dying for sure. So after trying many things, including wiping the disk, reformatting, DOS format and reinstalling windows countless times, i begin to realize that after i install my video driver the key repeat rate on the computer slows down to a crawl.. So i'm tying and the letters coming on the screen a second after. And the comp freezes sometimes still, and i just can't do anything... But this only happens after i install the video driver, in safe mode computer works fine... I downloaded an updated driver from Dell but same problem.. Do you think it could be a virus slowing down the PC, or hardware going bad??? Did virus scans and got rid of a few, but same problem afterwards.. Any help would be greatly appreciated... This slow key repeat rate is killing me! :( Reply to grendelbrood |
