Hello,

Having problems with either my monitor or pc. My pc beeps at me and my monitor is in power save mode. I cannot get into any files. My mousse on the computer works but my keyboard doesnt. On my monitor I have a green light that flashes and my pc constantly beeps. It only started today. I used the computer yesterday and it was fine but it
has done this before just know how it fixed itself. I have tried some solutions as to giving it a real good clean and reinserting all cards. But no such luck. Any soluitions will be appreciated.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

It's a PC problem. Is there any pattern to the beeps? Something like two beeps and them a pause?

Hi

When I start my pc it just keeps beeping. Then I left it for a day to rest and now its not beeping. But I have connected my monitor to my friends computer and it works. But doesnt work on my pc. The screen says its in power save mode and to activate using pc. I cant get into anything the screen is just blank. But my mousse works and the my keyboard just blinks then it go's off. I dont know if that helps but I may have to get a new one anyway.

3 beeps could indicate a problem with memory but not knowing your BIOS type/make I can't tell for sure.. I would open the case (with power cord pulled out) and remove one of the memory cards. start the computer again. If it still beeps repeat the process with the second memory card.
