Cant type anything on laptop

Hello,
My laptop was working fine yesterday afternoon then when my bf came to use it the keys wouldnt work when u tried to type. It has vista, we have had it over a year and only now really havin probs with it. Has anyone got any idea?

The only way to reset the pasword is to use the windows cd after windows is loaded and asks you for the password

Try twisting your lower half of your laptop like an icecube tray. Not real hard just alittle on both opposite corners. It can be on and should fix it. Dell had alot of problems with this and even replacing the keyboard dosen't fix it. I have a Dell laptop and had the same thing. Twisted it, opposite both corners, and it fixed it. Don't know why but it works.
