Are the cooling vents on the bottom of the laptop? You may be blocking them when it sits on your lap. Some Laptops are not meant to be used on ones lap. Is it jammed full of dust? Do you have a wireless card plugged in that is generating extra heat?

In any case this high heat will eventually destroy the PC.

Yes the vents r on d bottom so when she´s on n i have to do something else i turn it upside down but that doesn´t help any like wise she stays at d same temp. doesn´t matter how i put her or what position she´s in or what she´s on she´s always hot. n fan is working but it doesn´t help n she doesn´t have durt. n no i don´t have a wireless card. and another question, can this affect my battery life? i´ve notice that now it doesn´t last very long before it gets low.
