How to compare two cells in excel sheet

I AM HAVING TWO EXCEL SHEETS HAVING DATA.THE FIRSTTHE EXCEL SHEETS COLUMN A AND SECOND EXCEL SHEETS COLUMN B CONTAINS TRANSACTION REFERENCE IN A STRING WITH ALPHA NUMERICAL CHARACTERS.I WANT TO DISPLAY THE TRANSACTION REFERENCE BY THE COLUMN IN THE FIRST WORK SHEET IF THE STRING CHARACTER MATCHES.FURTHER I WANT TO DISPLAY THE CONTENTS OF COLUMN D AND C OF THE SECOND WORK SHEET BESIDES THE MATCHEH RECORDS'

plesae help me in solving this problem
