Hello,

My headphones don't work in Ubuntu while they are working fine in WinXP...means no sound after plugging in the socket. I am having ALSA utilities installed.

How to know that is it b'coz of drivers(wrongly or component(s) not installed)?

Please help.

Thanks, Atul V.

Configuration: Ubuntu 7.10
Firefox 2.0.0.6

Are the headphones usb connection or do you have to plug them into a soundcard?

Hi sharpman,

Happily my Linux OS crashed. So i don't have this problem any longer! Even then, i have a pin socket(not USB), so perhaps they are plugged into a sound card. cheers
