Word, icon on desktop, missing in Programs f

In reply to your question, I have installed Office 2007. After installing, I found the Office 2007 item on my Programs list and clicked and dragged the icon to my desktop. It is there, and opens Word just fine. But now there is no listing for Office, Word, Excel, etc in the installed programs section after the Start menu.
How do I get it back there and keep an icon on my desktop as well? Thanks

Press control key and drag them back to menu or where ever you want to go would be easiest way.

what you should have done is right click send to desktop. this would have sent the word icon as a link to your desktop.
