Hello,

I had to do a system recovery due to my system looping during boot up after trying to download SP3.
I was unable to relaod Mcafee and when I called Mcafee help line they said I had to remove what was remaining on my hard drive prior to the recovery. So, that was done and I reloaded Mcafee. My question is: since the Mcafee was still on my hard drive even though I couldn't see it on my desk top, is there any other stuff on my hard drive I can recover? I have pictures and word docs that were there prior to recovery. Can any of these be recovered from the hard drive?

Thanks!

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Everything in your system is precious and important. if u ever lost those file you might have to face lots of problem. Due to this reason many people try to prevent their data but due to some reasons or calamities like OS corruption, virus attacks, BITS failure and other reaosns you continue to loose data.

So, in order to save your valuable data Data Recovery for Vista software is one of the best way to recover your files. The only thing that you have to do is download yhis software and run it once the rest will be done by it.

Ya we know how much data of the system values for us. well if you really want to recover the documents and picyures of your system then you can take support of data recovery XP. it will quickly recover the data even if you have permanentally deleted the data of the system. if your system is really on risk then you can visit http://www.datarecoveryxp.com and download the software.

Please select Diskgetor software for data recovery from SATA II drives if you have MS Vista. I was able to recover valuable digital photos, PDF, eBooks from the primary boot disk that had two partitions that were deleted to expand the C: partition. Also, I was able to recover more files from a second new SAMSUNG HD160GJ that was reformatted when it was not identified by VISTA even after POST detecting it.

Thanks to all of you who have posted here. I downloaded evaluation versions of Diskgetor and two other data recovery software. I opted for Diskgetor after reading in their web site some sound advise for buyers - first use the evaluation version and then if you see files that you want to recover, then buy the software. I purchased the software on the web. I think it is value for money :)

Two days ago, I used the evaluation version as well as a pirated version of another more expensive software. That software took the whole of the night to scan a 160GB SATA II hard disk; created the tree structure but did not show any files. Thus, I was not sure how the real software would perform and made a good decision to delay purchasing it.

Invariably, it is better to seek advise from other folks in the region - South Asia or ASEAN because our tight budgets does bring the best out of us as well as from tools we use.

I thought of complimenting because you folks relieved a lot of my anxiety as I was able to recover digital pics of my two kids that are more valuable to me than anything else.

If some of your files have been erased, you can actually restore them with data recovery tools such as Advanced File Recovery (Windows) on http://advanced-file-recovery.com/ or Uneraser (for DOS). These are truly mighty utils, they never failed me before. Also, their restore algorithms never corrupted recovered files.
