| 84 Leigh, on Jan 21, 2009 8:36:36 pm GMTThis works on Visa as I did it myself but I dont know if it works with XP - this uninstalls the 2009 beta version of MSN and then tells you how to install the 2008 version.
1. Exit Windows Live Messenger.
2. Click Start, type appwiz.cpl in the Search bar, and then press ENTER.
3. On the Add or Remove Programs window, click on Windows Live Beta or Windows Live Essentials, and then click Uninstall/Change
4. Select Uninstall, click Continue.
5. Under Select the programs you want to uninstall, tick the checkbox on all programs (Messenger, Mail, Photo Gallery, Toolbar, Writer), click Continue.
Here are the steps to download old version of Windows Live Messenger version 2009:
1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer and then visit: http://www.microsoft.com/...
2. Click Download button.
3. Follow the Messenger installation wizard to completely install Windows Live Messenger. Reply to Leigh | 90 Elvin, on Jan 29, 2009 12:59:42 pm GMTAgain another shit from Windows ??? I get error also and everything is eliminated again before the end of installing 2009. (100 % installed, and then a screw down to zero % ... I tried everything, ... always the same error) Reply to Elvin | 123 lolivia, on Feb 26, 2009 6:13:38 pm GMTHey, everyone that wants to delete this shitty messenger, its pretty simple! Just go to Control Panel -> Add or Remove Progams-> Find "Windows Live Essentials" -> Click Change/Remove -> and there you go from there :) Reply to lolivia |

| 142 sam, on Mar 25, 2009 10:27:39 am GMTTo remove windows live messenger, you just look for "windows live essentials" in the "add or remove programs" section of control panel, and the uninstall option comes.. you can uninstall messenger separately without uninstalling the other mail functions if u like. easy as that.. you just dont see the uninstall messenger option until you click on windows live essentials. This is normal with mnicrosoft that they think "because we know where we put it, everybody does"!!
Microsoft are a bunch of idiots as we all know - if you wish to see a graphic walkthrough of how to remove this program go to below website
