Pendrive i/o device error

Hello,sir when i connect my pendrive then laptop show all files but they can,t delete or formatte. can,t read or write any file ,show pendrive i/o device error, in other pc same probleum show. please give a solution.thank you sir....

When youre trying to delete can you tell me what is the error message you are actually receiving?

but if you cant format it maybe the pen is damaged and i would recommend that you get it back from where you have bought it and have it exchanged there

Virus must have captured ur machine..
i had same error couple of months back. then i had to format my D: drive & pen drive.
then update ur virus definations & scan ur machine & pen drive again....
see the results........

I have a same problem for last 1 year.(I/O device in my pen drive) .. i should format my pen drive and there is not virus in my system also and i am using windows xp.. i check in my friend home also its not working same error:I/o device.. if anybody know give me a good resolution for this.
