Audio & Sound Device Silent

Hello,
Today I reinstalled Windows Xp with the help of recovery disk; after that my Laptop(Acer) became silent as Audio & Sound device is not "Detected"; would you kindly advise how can I get my sound back?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Well your prob is easy to fix
just search for the cds that came with the laptops one of them should contain the drivers
go to the device manager click on the device and update using the cd
and try the recovery cd 2 cause it may contain the drivers

Reinstall windows XP one more time that rebuild the sound system back into it. Remember when you reinstall windows Xp with the use of a receovery disk, the first time the system is in conflict like the Matrix (lol), The system may cause an abscense of some dives and it will still look o'kay, thats whuy a second installation is required and everything will be restored.
