Sounds like it's overheating and getting a memory error. try to clean out the case. run with the case open to see if if that helps. blow out the dust on the CPU heatsink

Running a PC without the case is actually worse than with the case on. If you run it with the side of the case off it's not getting the proper airflow it needs. If it is overheating, try cleaning the components off like previously suggested, and make sure the airflow is one direction in and out of the case.

Download and run a memory test program - "memtest" is a good one.

If you have two or move memory sticks - try to remove one then play your games (if they will run) then swap the sticks and test again.

If you have overclocked your CPU - reduce or eliminate the overclocking

Try looking for a BIOS update...if your computer hasnt been updated in a while look for BIOS updates. They could have the issue in the update.

Ya, i have the same problem whenever i play any EA game (BF 1942, BF2). i have a few minutes, then the whole computer restarts, or it used to, i tried again after changing my virtual memory settings, then, instead of restarting, it would just give me a completely blue screen... no numbers or letters, and the CPU sounded like it shut down.
