Getting rid of the bios password

Hello,

so this is for a friend of mine. his sister put a password on his bios and now he is asking how can he get rid of it since his sister is no more in the country and when he asks for the pasword his sister couldnt remember what it was?

is there any mean on getting rid of that password? and how can it be done?

Dude
all you have to do is to take the CMOS battery out and leave the computer for 20 seconds and then put it back on

Some computers have a CMSO Battery but require a Flash out in the Flash memory using a Jumper setting.

Theres a jumber the is labelled CMOS Bat in the mother board.

Wait okay so that makes sense, but where is the cmo battery? I took apart my whole desktop thingy, and nothing happened??? cause I can't login still.... pleae helpppp!!!:(

Look on the motherboard u should see a battery take it out for a few minutes i think then put it back and boot

It is NOT possible to reset a Bios password just by removing the cmos battery you will need professional assistance.

I unlocked My Acer Aspire 3500 in www.laptoprebirth.com They gave me very good service and it worked like a charm!!!!
