Cannot read burnt disc on my ps3

Hello,
last time I burned a dvd using ConvertXtoDVD and wanted to read it on my sony playstation 2 but when I tried to do that my playstation tells me to put in a ps cd or ps2 dvd why cant I watch dvds 0that I burn on my ps2?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

There can be reasons for you not be able to see Dvd's one it can be the the play station it self don't read the Dvd's or it can be the format that your using try to write in V-CD format if nothing happen try another one,
