Try to delete the wireless card in the "Hardware" window and then use "add new Hardware" to add it back in.

Hey,

If you are not able to connect to the internet, try a power cycle, i.e., turn of the comp and the router, first turn on the router and then turn on the comp. If not U'll have to talk to Ur ISP or the router company. Usually Dell doesn't have any issues with wireless or wired. Also try connecting the cable directly from the modem. If that works then its ur router.

Thanks

I had the same problem, tried everything nothing worked. Then I did the following and was able to connect and I never had a problem with it again.

Go to Control panel -> Windows Security Center -> Windows Firewall
Then click on Change settings (appears a blue underlined text)
User Account Control will ask for your permission to continue -> grant it
Click on the Exception tab (middle)
Scroll down to Wireless Portable Devices (the very last one on my PC)
Check the box next to it (in front of it)
Click Apply, then OK

Close the program, and now try to connect

Hey Mate,

Thanks for your help! I nearly went out and bought a new router, until I saw this post!

I've got a Dell XPS m1330, running Vista Ultimate, and the bugger just wouldn't connect to the wireless network!

Ticked the box the way you describe, connect to the network, and BANG, full signal!

Thank you!!!

I have the exact same issue as kevo. I have a Dell XPS M1330, for a few weeks I was able to connect w/o any problem to my home network. But since last week I'm having the same prob, it displays a yellow triangle near my connection icon on the bottom right of my screen and it says connection is taking longer than usual, then connected with limited access, and then if I wait long enough about 20-30mins it finally connects to the internet. very weird whats going on???
