How to format Hp Pavolion dv6000 Laptop

Hi,
Dear Friends,
I M trying to Install Windows XP sp2 in HP povilion dv6000 but i m faceing error which is hardisk device not found, so,please help me about that problem,

Windows XP does not have the driver for the SATA controller that is on your HP laptop. You will need to "slipstream" the driver into the Windows CD using the "nlite" program. That is just the beginning for your problems. XP does not have drivers for any of the hardware on the motherboard and HP does not provide them either. Google "slipstream" and "nlite" for more information. My suggestion is to install Windows 7.
