How to bring Digital Audio into my laptop

Hello,
I have a Roland VS=880 HD recoroder. I would like to send my digital audio recordings to my laptop in digital format. The Roland unit has an RCA type jack for digital - only one special wire (silver) is necessary for stereo. I was told that I have to buy an Express Card that handles digital audio in and out.

Any suggestions?
