Click on "file" then "add file to library" then you find the song wherever you've saved it on your computer

The easiest way to see your most recently added songs is to click on 'recently added' in the right hand panel under 'playlists'

whoever asked how to import songs, just drag and drop the song.

you can import as well, if you want... file>inport

kids, please take a look at your shiny new software before asking self-evident questions.

I STARTED WITH LIMEWIRE, BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD VIRUS PROTECTOR ON YOUR COMPUTER, IT CARRIES VIRUSES, LIMEWIRE IS SO EASY, THEN YOU CAN TRANSFER IT TO YOUR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER OR TO ITUNES.

I could not do it. I had to call ipod in India to get help. I had to download a transfer program and then still had problems. He had me check this box and uncheck another box. It took awhile, but the transfer program worked. I strongly suggest backing up your files.

You can't legally copy songs from ipod to itunes library, for obvious reasons. you can use the app 'expod' (on mac) do do it, though.

So if you add songs from Limewire, Napster, Windows Media Player, etc.., it has to be done through Itunes? Is there another way. I am at work so Itunes is blocked and I don't have a home computer. I know I could use my friend's computer but can you tell me if I can just purchase the I-tunes sofrware from a store or what exactly?

Hey mate! Once the song is downloaded on Limewire, just click it, to highlight it. Then click the explore button underneath it. Once the files load in a different window, right click the one you want to play, then click, 'open with iTunes'.
That should do it!

You put the CD into the CD drive(where you normally put in your CD games)

Next, you should get a pop up that asks you what you want to do.

You should click on one near the bottom that says something like open audio and in tiny print underneath that it should say iTunes.

Once there it should attomatically open in iTunes under the name of the CD.

You want to click and drag the name of the song you want in your ipod to the word library on the left collomn of the screen. Let go of the mouse when it is on top of the word library.

To make sure it took, click on library and look for the song. It'll be easier if you have the album artwork tab open; just look for the one that doesn't have a picture.

Hey ... I just had a nightmare trying to load my music back into itunes ... the answer is simple really just select all the files that you want to transfer or even the folder and drag them into the itunes - make sure that you click on the music library then drag and drop files into the big window that displays all the files data.

If you got the songs on limewire you just go back to ur itunes and go to file and there will be an import button and the songs will be put on that then once ur done with that you just sync them onto your ipod or mp3

The easiest way to do it is set it in your LIme Wire Preferences to download them directly to Itunes. Thats how I do it.

So go in to you limewire library and there should be a list of all of your songs, if there isn't there should be something that says configure. Click on it and your songs will apear. I have a laptop so this is how i did it. I left clicked on the first song and draged it down highlighting all of my songs(you can also do this with individual songs). Let go of the left click and they should stay highlighted. Then with then left click them again and with you touch pad drar them down to the itunes tab(make sure you have it on your music). Once you are holding them over the tab it should open up and drar them to where you songs go and let go of the mouse. All of the songs should then appear.

:)

What format is the video file in? Is it avi? iTunes only supports these types:

What video content works with iTunes and iPod? (direct from Apple Itunes site)

iTunes:

* Video content purchased from the iTunes Store.
* QuickTime and MPEG-4 movie files that end in ".mov", ".m4v", or ".mp4" and are playable in QuickTime Player.
* Video podcasts.

I'm having a similar issue. I download torrents with BitTorrent. I've downloaded about 30 albums and am having trouble with 2 recent ones. I import the whole file and only half of the songs come in. I've tried dragging and dropping them into the itunes music folder, but nothing happens. They are all the same format - MP3 files.

PLEASE HELP!!!

You need to get a 3rd-party program to go the copy. Apple removed the option to copy from the iPod to the computer. They did not want people to easily share files. It's ALL about the MONEY.
