Having major problems with wirless

Hello,
I have a Toshiba laptop with a atheros ar5005g adpater and linksys wirelessg router. Niether my computer or Xbox can find my wirless connection. When i use the LAN cable, I have no problems even when using the router. My Palpre shows the network, but my computer or xbox does not, I can not connect to the wirless network. whats more is there are NO networks available, as of yesterday everything was working fine, i was using my own wirless connection but there where several available and now there are none. What is going on?Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0
