Ares help me!!

Hello,
ive had ares for couple of years now with no problems at all on other pcs or laptops with xp or 2000,iv just got a new laptop with vista on it which i hate buy the way,ive installed ares 2.0.9.3030 the lastest version i believe,ive downloaded a few songs no probs at first now its decided not to work any more sayn conection failed it still searches and finds songs ect but says connecting, cant download any more,also i noticed i cant brose the web wen ares is runing it takes to long to open a web page then just says canot conect,the laptop is brand new with good specs ive shut the firewall down still no good , i also have 10 meg broadband so that cudnt be the problem,any 1 else having these probs??any advice much apreciated.

Www.aresvista.com claims to be made to work with windows vista. I cant say, as I have XP, but it did work for me when the ares galaxy version wouldn't connect.

Ares is free but others hijack it and then sell it. You can find it free on sourceforge.net

YEA lyk WTF..i thought ares was a free program man..dis crap is pissin me off!!! i had ares for years..an now dat i got a vista laptop it doesnt connect..but i finaly found one dat does but omg guess wahhh..i needs a activation code lyk olyy!! dat means u need to pay fer it ughh! lol!! Dude ares is free. Don't download it unless it's free because it might be a virus. If you go to the ares web page at http://aresgalaxy.sourceforge.net/ you should find ares there for free. Remember ares is a free program. Do not get tricked into thinking that just because you have to pay for something its legit.

No ares is not free, i went to that site you guys gave and only ares galaxy is free?? can you please let me know where i can find FREE ARES VISTA?? therew is no download link in the website you gave.

I've got the same problem with ares vista.
i get connected it's okay but when i tried to download my video they asked me for an activation code.
but it is free, isn't it?

You were right. I got a laptop with Vista (UHHH, what a pain, XP much better). Anyways, sourceforge really worked on my laptop. Your advice was great. thanks so much dude! R from Texas!

I have a new brand laptop with vista homme basic I know that will be easyer having the premium package but I ve seen plenty of laptops performing ares basic with no issues any way it keeps on showing not conecting I would like u to help me out with the info thanks !!!!!!!!!!! jhonsalm69hotmail.com thanks

Ares vista isnt connecting for me.. haha Maybe I'm dumb and am doing something wrong, I have read and tried EVERYTHING... Does anyone know anything I can do to get it to connect? =\

I downloaderd ares vista can get sound on screan but not pitcher when i down loaderd some thining and i want to play it back

I am having the same problem sound but no picture. I hered through the g.v. that vista has alot of copyright protection programs in it. that will provent you from coping copyrighted product. but i also hered that there is a program that will take off the the saftys on the system. if you all have hered of this please let me know what the name is and where i can down load it.

Check it out i have had this same problem and have been scouring everywhere looking for the solution. i was told that you could not connect with the regular ares on vista---bull muffins!!!!! after searching high and low for a free ares vista full version, i became frustrated and decided to go back to the site of the ares i have on my xp pc. i went to aresgalaxy.sourceforge.net and downloaded ares 2.1.1.3035 and guess what not only did it connect on my vista home premium laptop but yes, it downloads too!!!! yay!!!!!! please spread the news to any and everyone who has been traumatized by ares withdrawl. luv u guys!!!!! please feel free to drop me a line if this helped you--sssssssss...

I had ares on my vista laptop and was working perfectly until i took my laptop to have some repairs....when i got it back i installed ares again and it wouldn't connect!!! i'm trying all the things you guys said out.!! hope 1 works
