Help counter strike lan connection

Hello,

I've the same problem, I have a CAT-5/Ethernet cable/LAN cable and I want to connect my computer to another one using this cable and I don't know whats to be done after that, also when it comes connecting to the computer in the game itself.

Please could help me out,

Hi
just do this

set you pc ip to "192.168.0.1" and another pc ip "192.168.0.2"


now start cs in one pc and find server in another pc

this is nitin...
we play condition zero using wireless.........when other guys want to join my server it displays local server error (client c) in their terminals..help meh out mann..kindly send the complete solution on my mail...tnx a lot

I have a counter strike 1.6 but i Can't connect the server this game , I try more than more but old version counter stirike is working properly more than three , four computers in networking , so can u help me ? pls mail me process of that game ( 1.6 cs )

Dear nitin ,
ill be glad to help u first open cs cz thr\en click on start new multiplayer game then press the console button nd in the console type sv_lan 0 then ur problem of the c class error would be solved. when the other person wants to join u he will type coonect ur ip in the console

After you connect your cable, in LAN games of CS one should "create" a game and the other should "join"

Hi!
i have problem with my counter strike 1.6
when i create server and join the internet server it say "could not connect to server"
so can u help me......? i think there smthing missing... i guess
but how?and what is firewall anyway where can i found it?

Hey thats very simple just configure the IP addresses of your computer
1. set ip addreses to a same format in all the pc/laptop ex: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2 etc
2. Remeber that no IP should be repeated as it will cause IP conflict.
3.set Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0
4.unblock firewall for win xp as well as vista for the game CS
5.Create server in one PC and search it in other.

First you have to make a server in you pc. then on the other computer it should catch your server. When other persons joins you have to join the server too by going to favoraites tab and by clicking on add sever and then you have to add the IP address of the server.

Hey moxa....u will not able to find servers in interne without steam.....download steam and open my games in the steam and click on add nonsteam games and add cs....then launch cs from their...and then u will able to find servers in internet.....hope i have helped u..thankss...

JUST download these files
1) serverbrowser.vdf
2) masterserver.vdf
then open your counter strike main folder there would be a folder called platform then open a foldercalled config and paste these two files there. i am sure it sould work because i tried the same :)

Hi can you help me my son bought the counter strike game last year
he was playing on it was class we had to unplug the computer for
a few months
and when we plugged it back in we have lost the username and password thankyou

Yust click " retrieve lost account" and follow it from there, if u remember what e-mail u was using on the account u should get you account name sent to you, and then click " retrieve lost account" again, and click " I know my account name" button, then you will get a mail with a vertification code, and a secret question, who you should know the answer to. If not, you have a problem

Try to turn on shared documents.. go in my computer then go in shared documents.. den right click properties then sharing and select share this folder on the network.. and then go to lan status and repair IP adres...
