I didn't have to pay until 2 or 3 days after they fixed it. They wanated me to make sure it was up and running perfertly because they have a 100% guarantee that if they dont fix it you don't pay. My compter is so fast now! its faster then it was when it was new! Theses guys rock, and I text messaged them the other day about a problem i was having with adobe photoshop and the guy logged in and showed me a bunch of tricks that i would have never thought of.. Happy camper!

I was surfing the web, and STUPID me opened a tempting link someone sent to me.. I had so many pop up's and viruses running accross my screen, i couldn't ever shut the pages down. And another page would pop up. I shut my computer down. And started it back up.
It was alright for a few minutes, then more full page popups, offshore pages and the like.. I went into yahoo Q&A to find a solution.. I came across a person claiming that they somehow found a remote repair service called logonfixit.com ..
I thought it was just another way to get my money, without fixing my problem, then i read more and other people had recomened logonfixit also. They claimed to fix it or i don't pay. I thought i will try them.. I am very glad i did.
I used the service, and i have been very, very, pleased with logonfixit.. I will agree with Mike, they tech never charged me until the computer was up and running better than it ever has. The tech also called me back to verify that my computer was doing ok. I would have had to take my computer to a shop, it's a heavy pc too. I would have had to call a NERD to come to my home, I did not want to deal with that.
I stayed at home and logonfixit.com solved my problem. I too am a stratified customer.. Thanks Reply to alexis | 18 drew, on Jan 28, 2009 6:47:27 pm GMTThanks,,, The guys working on it right now,, ill let you know how it goes but even if he cant fix it ,,hes a great guy sounds like and hes working hard tyring to fix it. | 19 drew, on Jan 30, 2009 7:58:35 pm GMTI own a Hewlett Packard PavillionDV900 note book. After receiving a HP care advisory stating i needed to update my BIOS. I installed the update and followed the instructions to the letter. The note book would no longer start without locking up and had vertical bars about a centimeter apart on the screen. Thats a little over a quarter inch for you lame assed standardized people! After about 10 hours of frustration, cussing, hair pulling, and vowing revenge upon HP.I finally gave up trying to fix it .
Whilst surfing the net for a fix i cam across a post suggesting a guy called Mike who runs a web site called www.logonfixit.com . I called on his toll free number and told him my predicament. Mike informed me that he would try and fix it and if he couldn't their would be no charge,,as in FREE.
I downloaded a program he sent a link for and he went strait to work. This guy worked ,and not just worked i mean worked hard, late into the night trying to fix the problem.
Unfortunately the note book has Vista as a operating system so its not what i would call a stable or robust platform to try and work on in safe mode with networking enabled. Mike later found out that the only way to fix the problem is to RE Install the operating system with the start up discs. How delightful! And wouldn't you know it HP has a whole warehouse full of them and just a measly 38 bucks a pop!!! What a coincidence? In the mean time my lap top runs like a fricken rocket after Mike spent hours on it at no charge. I tried to pay him but he wouldn't accept it as he hadn't fixed the problem. So i would just like to say THANKS MIKE for your great service and hard work your the best! Now i would like to say this to HP, don't piss on my back and tell me its raining MR Hewlwtt ass packard! You caused my problem ,you should send me those disks for free! My computer crashed, couldnt get past the start up and kept on rebooting. What really annoys me that I keep having problems with computers when Im doing very important like my degree project which has to be in next week.
I did absolutely everything under the sun by ringing Toshiba, and did all system restore stuff, with me thinking it could been a virus. It wasnt till I took to a brillant man near Wakefield who thought it would have been windows Update that may have caused the crash. Now Ive taken my old hard drive home to transfer lots of stuff that I needed to my other 'just' repaired laptop before I could take it back so that he can do repairs on them. (thank god Ive got a spare laptop)
Its just so typical of Microsoft for being crap at customer services and sending out unfinished updates knowing most of us will 'automatically' download to our system. I think from now on, Im backing absolutely everything up and switching the automatic updates off so that I can check everything before hand to see if they are not going to cause further problems to my laptop.
Surely there must be somewhere where we can go and check on the updates BEFORE we download them.
Thanks Microsoft for wasting my time whereas i should be doing my vital final year project which has to be in on Tuesday, and costing me fortune to get this problem sorted out! Am not a happy bunny at the mo. Reply to allybrod |

I would use them again in a heart beat, thanks for the tip. Reply to jan | 26 poetdove18, on May 8, 2009 2:47:56 pm BSTThis is just unexplainable. I too have Vista (Dell) 64 bit and learned that if I do an update it either will crash completely or will revert on next boot. There does seem no answer except to turn off the update completely. It isa mystery and I would appreciate knowing why something built into the os should ruin the os. I have spent countless time just restoring. And I was sort an experienced user.
