Cannot play video movie

Hello,
A friend lend me a movie on dvd but whenever I will try to open the movie to watch it windows will give me a list of programs to watch the movie, I choose power dvd and all I can get is power dvd cant open the movie and that the format is not supported. Actually from what I can see is that the extension is .divx
Anyone can help me in resolving this issue please?

I can't play a video file. What's wrong? ShowYou probably need codecs. The one I use is called the K-Lite Codec Pack which includes a nice bunch of codecs. You might also want to try VLC Media Player which features a host of codecs built-in.

Download someting called vlc media its got all the codex for all types of different movie types
