Hello, i want to instal my web cam on my lap top but i lost the installer cd how can i instal this cam

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Ok...... First what you need to do is make sure that all your wiring is good.... second you need to look for a hole that says windows XP on the back of your tower..... third plug the webcam in and there shall be a link that pops up... click on that link, it will take you through the intial set up of the webcam..... fourth when your done you will have to go to MY COMPUTER and then click adding or removing programs, the logitech logo should be there.....fifth click on the logo then you have to go through all the camera settings once you do that your cam shall be ready to record..

THE MODEL NUMBER SHOULD BE ON UR WEBCAM....IT MAY BE IN SMALL PRINT ON THE BACK OF THE CAM......AFTER YOU FIND THE MODEL NUMBER TYPE IT INTO UR URL ALONG WITH THE BRAND OF UR CAM..IT SHOULD TAKE YOU WHERE U WANT TO GO

IF U CANT FIND THE MODEL NUMBER STILL.....THEN INSTALL A DRIVER....THE DRIVER IS GO N TO TELL U WHEN ITS DONE THAT IT CANT FIND OR DETECT WHAT UR TRY N TO DO OR SUM N LIKE THAT K.

AFTER IT SAYS THAT IT SHOULD GIVE U UR MODEL NUMBER AND THE BRAND K.

IF U WANT U CAN SHOOT ME UR MODEL NUMBER AND THE BRAND AND ILL LOOK IT UP FOR YOU.....

AND THE MODEL NUMBER ISNT THE USB OR NE THING LIKE THAT

1. Download QuickCam 8.4.8 with driver for WinXP.
2. Install WinRAR if not already installed yet.
3. Open the setup installer qc848enu.exe and unpack its contents to a folder. Alternatively, right click on qc848enu.exe and select �Extract to qc848enu\� option.
4. Insert or plug in the Logitech QuickCam Messenger to a USB port if not already done so.
5. An �Driver Software Installation� icon in systray (notification area) should appear, which will pop up detailed message if click. It should fail, and �Add Hardware Wizard� dialog window will appear. Choose to install the driver manually by instructing the Wizard to locate and look for the web cam driver inside the Drivers folder under the unpacked folder of the qc848enu.exe setup program. You can use browser button to select the folder.
6. Windows Vista should grab the XP driver and install it properly.
7. Download the latest version (10.5.1) of Vista compliant QuickCam software from Logitech to install the software on Vista.
8. Run the setup (qc1051enu) normally. You may need to skip the detection of webcam near the end of installation process.
