Hello,
Same problem for me, Acer Aspire 5630 - high definition from Realtek audio device. As I read until now, they don't have a solution becouse they are in conflict. So, I uninstalled sp1 and no result. No sound.
So, many thanks to sirs from Microsoft and Realtek for makeing fun on us with our money.

Yeah you right Xoxo, its better to use linux OS, now I'm on Mandriva Linux and fully functional. I don't have any problem on it.

You ned to upgrade your sound drivers to get sound for vista sp1 same thing happened to my home pc
