Red light on but nothing on screen

Hello can anyone help me here?

My problem is that when I switched on my computer this morning only the no signal on the screen can be seen and the machine will not boot upto windows(guessing).

The red light on the tower can be seen as if working but nothing is on the screen.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

have u check the cables first dear????/as it might be the cause of all this

The cables are fine, the computer is just not powing up. motherboard has power, red light is flashing when i press the power button

Make sure your GPU is seated properly, or if you are using on board make sure the cables are seated properly, beacue after they they can come loose.

My friend is having the same problem right now,my husband told me to tell him to turn his computer off and then turn it back on to see if that works.(sorry if that isn't any help)

If you want to fix the xbox you wrap it in a blanket and wait till it turns off and then you can play again
