ActiveX problems

Hello,

On the windows update site im getting a message which tell me that my internet security settings does not allow web sites to use my activx controls installed on my pc and it gives me an option where I can download something to make it alright but when the page is being opened it would stop opening and nothing appears. Can anyone help me please?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0
