I had this problem too, then I made a new topic here and guys like Ravi and Manmeent helped me out her's what Ravi wrote (only instead of C write E and F):
go to command prompt and write this command

c:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf
c:\> del autorun.inf
d:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf
d:\> del autorun.inf
restart the pc
And here's the best and easyest suggestion of what Manmeet wrote(it worked for me!):

1Open Start >> Run and type regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
2. press ok
3. You will see a message DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in shell32.dll succeeded
4. thats it
SFE and tol PLEASE write how you solved this problem!

Regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

This worked just fine on my Toshiba Satellite tablet that had been left in a dark room for centuries! Battery was completely dead that i had to set up the BIOS.

Never seen this folder opening problem before, so going to let the thing sit in a dark cupboard for another several weeks and see if i get the same problem. Thanks for the help!

Hey I tried this and I get the message:

D:\>attrib autorun.inf -h -s -r
Access denied - D:\autorun.inf

Currently since this is not working I have renamed the file to autorun.bak, restarted the computer and the drive opens fine, but this is not a fix its only a workaround. Any other fix?

I simply solved this problem by deleting the autorun.inf file
as i guess it was somehow modified by a virus.
but the drive works fine now, and it still autoruns ..

2.remove autorun.inf viruses from your system by typing attrib autorun.inf -h-r-s enter in cmd then del autorun.inf enter you have to do it for each drive

Hi thanks to ARMEND..

I also faced the same problem when opening the drive..
the command prompt option wasn't working for me
Then I used suggestion given by ARMEND.. and it was perfectly working for me..

jst change the drive name which is asking for 'select the program from the list'

eg: if ur drive name is 'softwares' then make it 'softwaress' or anything else..
it must be working ...

Thanks again for ARMEND

I will write in CAPS because its very important what i'm going to say:

IF EVERY OF THE SOLUTIONS PRESENTED FAILS, THEN TRY THIS...IT WORKED FOR ME.

IF YOU NOTICE INSIDE THIS AUTORUN.INF THERES A REFERENCE TO A "K.COM" AFTER THE "OPEN="....

....SO SEARCH FOR THIS STRING IN THE REGISTRY...AND YOU WILL FIND A VALUE NAMED "K.COM" UNDER AN "DRIVE\AUTORUN" FOLDER.... DELETE THE ENTIRE TREE FOLDER

AND THAT'S IT! IT'S FIXED THE OPEN WITH PROBLEM. REMEMBER TO DELETE THE VIRUS FIRST AND THEN TO DELETE DE AUTORUN.INF FROM EACH DRIVE THEN DO THIS....

NOTE: THE "K.COM" STRING MAY BE DIFFERENT SO I RECOMMEND TO SEE INSIDE THE AUTORUN.INF THE STRING RIGHT AFTER THE "OPEN=" COMMAND
