Can't get an IP address

Hello,

I can't get onto the internet from some reason the pc is not assigning an IP address. Even when I am hard wired to the router.
Any ideas?

Change your network settings to asign ip and dns automatically that should work if already set say repair it should give you another ip address

I have same problem with xp but it wont allow me to repair it also it shows i have 400mbs on the two computer logo but not able to get on the net via explorer or firefox? any help cheers

Yea my computer just had the same problem...i click repair but it says it cant find my IP adress and i cant go on the dam internet.....

Try these steps to get an ip address

1. Click on Start ----> Run -----> Type Command and click ok

2. You should now be at MSDOS prompt screen.

3. Type ipconfig/release and click enter

4. Type exit and leave the prompt.

5. Right click on Network places or My Network places and select

or Just visit the site http://www.ip-details.com/ you can get the ip address.
