Photoshop CS3 problem

Hello,
When I try to open a jpeg or raw file in Photoshop CS3 ti takes forever for the file to open. Why?? Never happened in CS2. I am using Windows Vista for my operating system.

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

I had a similar problem, found that it was my printer selected. Change it from a network printer to a local printer (Acrobat) and file opening and new files were quick.
