Graphics optimum mode

Hello,
i was at my brother's place yesterday and ive noticed that when he switches on his computer a message would pop up telling him that he is not in the optimum mode and that the recommended one was 1280*1024 60hz
anyone can tell me what can i do for him ?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi..

What Graphics card is he using?

I think the message only lets him know that the computer will perform better at that resolution and refresh rate. But why dont you just ignore the message if you dont want to change to that settings?

1280*1024 is also a very high resolution and I think only 22 inch and bigger screens can handle that resolution.
