Slave hard disk not detected

Hello,

i have an old pc at home with win me on it and when i connect the hard disk of my friend on it, it is nowhere to be found i have tried to search for it but nowhere to be found. in the bios it is being detected but on my windows nowhere to be found. any idea of what should i do please?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

The hard disk you have msut surely be in the ntfs format and hence windows me cant detect it as it cant read files in the ntfs format. windows xp can read both
