CD/DVD burner wont burn picture files to disc

Hello,
My tsst corp cd/dvd/rw will play dvds, as well it will burn MOVIES , however it will not burn images (single pictures in Jpeg format) , I have tried numerous software programs such power to go and adobe elements 8. The Adobe program tells me there is a problem with the dvd burner, the power to go program tells me there was an error while writing to the disc. We have uninstalled and re-installed the dvd burner however this has not fixed the problem. Additionally we have tried to update the driver but it says we have the most recent driver. I have also tried to burn at a slower speed . Nothing seems to help.Can you put your cape on and save the day?
