Hardware acceleration

Hello,
I just got a redone version of MVP 2005 fully updated, but when I try to play it it get the following message:

"MVP 2005 requires Direct X 9 and hardware graphics acceleration"

I have Dirext X9 and Have an HP Pavilion a1224n

Any suggestions on how to get this game to work..your help is greatly appreciated

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

I have an IBM A22m and I'm trying to run Winflip 3D task switcher for Windows Xp to act like Vista.
but it says i need Graphics Accelerator. i have no idea what that is, and if there is an easy way to fix this so i can run my program id greatly appreciate an answer as to how .preferably without replacing my graphics card seeing how in the IBM A22m its built into the mother board:P
