Live web cam and chat room freezes

Hello,
Every time I'm watching a live web cam feed the web cam freezes up on my end and I constantly have to ask for another invite. Also, whenever I'm chatting the chat window would shut down and I have to re-enter. Lately yahoo started shutting down and I would have to log back on. I restored my computer but the problem persist. I welcome any help since the people at Gateway do not know how I can solve the problem. Thank you kindly.

actaully can you tell me what connection do you have on your pc?

the problem may be coming from your connection probably too low for the high demand in connection for the chat room

I regret taking this long to respond to your question. I use a high speed cable internet connection. Incidentally I have noticed that Yahoo Messenger also drops off very often if I'm chatting. Thank you for your response.

Hi Chelsea. I am also suffering from this same problem. My fathers PC and my sons (Both in the same house) are freezing terribly all of a sudden.

If you find a solution please let me know as well.

One possible cause of freezes may be the cameras installed in the PC. My PC just froze up when i tried to upload picture files from a GE camera. I didn't notice that I had a live webcam up already.

Everything went fine when i removed the webcam first.
